Today, I was almost squashed to death.
Today, on bus 157, upon boarding the bus, I sat down innocently at those kind of horizontal 3-seater on the bus. Those which are on both sides and you face the person sitting opposite you. I was listening to my discman, song Aurora by Angela Zhang.
Everything was peaceful and serene.
Then came the....I mean a...(might be 'it')..
extremely obese woman with trotter-like hands and legs. Her fats were those saggy type which shook with every movement. And wobbled vigorously when she walked. She came to sit beside me. She came to sit down HEAVILY beside me. I bounced. As in, on those SBS buses, when another person sits down beside you, sometimes you will feel your seat inflate a little then deflate to normal again. But I BOUNCED.
Then, what's more, her equally fat friend came along and the fat pig beside me heaved herself up a bit to make space for her friend. (And a lot of space, too) She SQUEEZED in my direction and left me with very little space...I think I only took up 1/2 a seat out of 3 seats. So both pigs combined took up 2.5 seats. Each pig took up 1.25 seats. I suspect the figure was higher. Anyway, throughout the bus journey, I was half-squashed, half-squeezed and almost dropping out of the seat. You know those kind of seats have a small bar at the side that is empty at the bottom? My leg was being pushed under the bar already. Yihan suggested getting up to change seats but I think I couldn't get up even if I tried. I could feel the warmth emitting from her nice armpits. The warmth was condensing on my arm and forming a little pool of sweat soon. Luckily they got off the bus first, before my stop. I could feel myself gasping for breath when they left. I mean, if you are fat, never mind lah. But please try to be considerate can?!?!?!?!?
Doesn't mean I wear size 40 shirt and size 31 pants and weigh 45kg then you can squash me. Thin people are living beings leh, don't try to squash them to bits.
Your cooperation is deeply appreciated.
